Arkema to acquire construction adhesives and sealants maker Arc Building Products

Arkema is acquiring Arc Building
Products. The Irish company’s construction adhesives and sealants portfolio includes polyurethane wood adhesives and polyurethane foam sealants. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024.

Arc Building Products has its manufacturing facilities in Arklow, County Wicklow and has annual sales of approximately €15 million. Significant investment is planned at the Arklow plant to increase local production.

Arkema said its Bostik brand has been present in Ireland for more than 60 years and the acquisition provides industrial and commercial synergies. The company said that by integrating Arc Building
Products, Bostik will expand its value-added product portfolio for the Irish construction market, whose growth is driven by rising demand for sustainable housing and renovations.

Vincent, Executive Vice President, Adhesive Solutions Business, Arkema
“This transaction is consistent with Bostik’s commitment to deliver consistently high-quality, sustainable products while cultivating strong customer relationships,” Legros said.
