Recently, 60% of the model of the dimethyl carbonate unit of the Shandong Depu New Materials Industrial Park project, which was EPC contracted by Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Beijing Petroleum Engineering"), passed the review.
The review meeting was conducted online, and relevant personnel from DP New Materials, Tangshan Haoyu and Beiyou Engineering project teams attended the meeting.
This review mainly focused on the optimization and adjustment of equipment layout, the direction of main process pipelines, and the setting of operating channels, etc., and focused on the layout plan of the heat pump plant and the lifting and maintenance issues. During the review period, 30% of the problems discovered during the model review were modified and confirmed. The project team will strictly implement the review opinions and further optimize the design to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
The passing of 60% of the model review marks that the detailed design has entered a new stage, laying a good foundation for subsequent drawing publication, procurement, and construction work.
It is reported that this project is currently the world's largest single unit for the production of dimethyl carbonate by transesterification of propylene oxide route. It converts carbon dioxide into new materials through technical carbon sequestration methods, fundamentally reducing carbon emissions.
