On December 7, Teijin Pioneer Co., Ltd., a fiber subsidiary of Japan’s Teijin Group, released Microft™ MX high-performance fabric.
The product uses polyester and nylon evenly blended high-deformation cross-section multi-ply yarn, which is made through special spinning technology and a woven or knitted structure. Due to the different dyeing effects of the two materials, Microft™
MX has a worsted poplin look.
From the perspective of product characteristics, the yarn constituting the product has a mild V-shaped highly deformed cross-section, with good fluffy feel and soft texture. The evenly mixed polyester and nylon at the same time give the fabric an ideal combination of properties, including the abrasion resistance and color diversity of nylon, and the moisture absorption, quick drying and shape stability of polyester.
Judging from the technologies used, the weaving of the above-mentioned high-performance fabrics combines multi-component polymer co-spinning, special deformed cross-section spinning, high curl pre-twisting, braiding structure design, etc. An innovative process.
Microft™ MX products
In recent years, fashionable styles that combine the practicality of sports and outdoor clothing with lifestyle have become increasingly popular. There is a growing demand for fabrics with excellent functionality, new looks and textures that differ from traditional products. Polyester and nylon are commonly used in sports and outdoor clothing. However, materials that combine the texture and functionality of polyester and nylon are still under further development. Microft™
MX is a high-performance blended fabric product that combines the advantages of the above two materials.
Judging from the development plan, Teijin Pioneer plans to start promoting Microft™ in the future
MX fabric for the spring and summer 2025 outdoor clothing and sportswear collections. Subsequently, the scope of applications will be expanded to include functional clothing in underwear and fashion apparel, with the goal of annual sales reaching 500,000 meters by 2026.
