Synopsis.

Dabco 33-LX is a blend of 33% triethylenediamine (DABCO solid amine) and a non-dispersive proprietary solvent carrier that is a versatile catalyst for the polyurethane industry. Dabco 33-LX has a significant impact on promoting urethane (polyol-isocyanate) reactions in a variety of flexible and rigid foam applications.

Dabco 33-LX can be used in the automotive interior foam industry where VOC’s and fogging are required to reduce emissions and thus windshield fogging due to the non-dispersive solvent carrier.

Uses:

Dabco 33-LX is a tertiary amine catalyst that strongly promotes urethane (polyol-isocyanate) reactions in a variety of flexible and rigid foams.

Recommendation.

Dabco 33-LX Catalyst can be used as a 3:1 replacement for Dabco Solid Amine (Triethylene Diamine) Catalyst in all foam formulations. For example, 0.3 pphp Dabco 33-LX Catalyst replaces 0.1 pphp Dabco Solid Amine (Triethylenediamine) Catalyst;

The dosage of Dabco 33-LX Catalyst is identical to that of Dabco 33-LV Catalyst.

Storage and Packaging.

Airborne Chemical Products recommends that all polyurethane catalysts be stored in a dry, cool and properly ventilated area, and that all storage containers be well sealed to avoid contact with water or other influential substances which may alter the performance of the product in use. The storage temperature is 10°C to 30°C. Lower or higher temperatures are inappropriate and should be avoided if possible.

Packing:

200KG/drum Storage: it is recommended to store in dry and cool area with proper ventilation. Please fasten the packaging cover as soon as possible after the original packaging to prevent the mixing of other substances such as moisture and other substances that may affect the product performance. Store in a cool and dry place, keep the container sealed and avoid contact with oxides. Do not inhale dust and avoid contact with skin and mucous membranes. Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited in the workplace. After work, shower and change clothes. Store contaminated clothing separately and wash before use. Maintain good hygiene practices.
