Background[1]
2,4-Dibromoanisole, the English name is 2,4-Dibromoanisole; Benzene, 2,4-dibromo-1-methoxy-; 2,4-dibromo-1-methoxybenzene, molecular formula: C7H6Br2O, molecular weight 265.9299, the crystal is light beige crystalline powder. 2,4-Dibromoanisole is a very important intermediate in organic synthesis and chemical industry, and can be widely used in laboratory research and development and pharmaceutical research and development processes.
2,4-Dibromoanisole
Preparation [1]
After adding 2,4-dibromofluorobenzene (20.0g, 0.08mol, 1eq.) and anhydrous DMF (350 mL) to a 500mL round-bottomed flask, slowly add sodium methoxide (5.2 g, 0.09 mol, 1.2 eq.), stir vigorously at room temperature overnight, then add 5% HCl to neutralize and stop the reaction. Extract with CH2Cl2 (50 mL : petroleum ether), 30g of white solid was obtained, with a yield of 95%. 1H NMR (400MHz, CDCl3): δ7.25(t,J=1.6Hz,1H), 6.99 (d,J=1.6Hz,2H), 3.78(s,3H).
