Synthesis prompt
- Due to water solubility a packed condenser column is required.
- Melt the contents of the CHDM container and stir it before taking the sample to ensure a homogeneous mixture of isomers.
- Due to good thermal stability, light-colored resin can be obtained even at a synthesis temperature of 230°C to 240°C.
- Two primary hydroxyl groups provide good reactivity and moderate synthesis time.
- Esterification catalyst is not required but can be used.
