According to the decision of BASF’s Supervisory Board on December 20, 2023, the division of responsibilities of the members of the Executive Board of BASF Group will be adjusted, as follows:
Dr. Stephan Kothrade, as a member of the Executive Board, will also be responsible for the Group Research Institute and will succeed Melanie Maas-Brunner) also serves as chief technology officer, effective January 1, 2024. He will also be responsible for Greater China, South and East Asia, ASEAN and Australia and New Zealand, as well as large-scale projects in Asia, effective March 1, 2024.
Dr. Katja Scharpwinkel will take over as Director of Industrial Relations at BASF SE and will take over responsibility for the European region from Kodivan, effective February 1, 2024.
Dr. Dirk Elvermann, as member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer and Chief Digital Officer, will also be responsible for BASF Venture Partners, effective January 1, 2024.
The following new division of responsibilities of the Executive Board will officially come into effect on March 1, 2024.
