Recently, Wanhua Chemical (Ningxia) Co., Ltd.’s 300,000 tons/year MDI separation unit successfully produced qualified products and achieved a successful start-up in one go!
Wanhua Chemical (Ningxia) Company’s 300,000-ton MDI separation project is the second batch of major projects to be started in Ningdong Base in 2022. It covers a total area of 236 acres. The project uses separation and distillation technology to build separation towers, distillation towers, and tanks. District and other production devices and supporting auxiliary facilities will officially start construction in August 2022. It took more than 300 days to build a world-class MDI separation device in the northwest of the motherland.
Pure MDI is an important raw material for the production of spandex. This project uses Wanhua’s world-leading MDI advanced process technology to provide basic raw materials for downstream spandex companies. The smooth start-up of this device will help further open up the entire spandex industry chain of the Ningdong base and lay a solid foundation for the next step to lock in the spandex market share and expand sales channels. At the same time, the completion of the project will also play a leading role in promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, accelerating the conversion of old and new driving forces, and promoting high-quality economic development.
The smooth start-up of Wanhua Chemical (Ningxia) Co., Ltd.’s 300,000 tons/year MDI separation unit is a new starting point for the Ningdong base to accelerate the construction of “China’s Spandex Valley”.
