At present, my country’s hydrofluoric acid industry chain has basically matured. The upstream of the industrial chain is mainly the raw material industry and the production equipment industry, providing raw materials such as sulfuric acid and fluorite as well as related production equipment such as condensers, washing towers, and distillation towers; the midstream is mainly the hydrofluoric acid production industry, responsible for the production of different types of hydrofluoric acid. Production and manufacturing links; the downstream is mainly oriented to application fields, and is mostly used in the production of fluorine rubber, fluororesin, refrigerants, fluoride salts, lithium hexafluorophosphate, fluorine-containing intermediates, fluoropolymers, and fluorine-containing fine chemicals. Among them, refrigerants have become the largest application field of hydrofluoric acid, accounting for 50.61% of the market; followed by fluoride salts, accounting for 14.17%; ranking third is fluoropolymers, accounting for 7.24% of the market .

According to the “China Hydrofluoric Acid Industry Market Analysis Research Report 2023-2027” released by the Industrial Research Center, in recent years, my country’s economy and society are developing rapidly, residents’ quality of life is gradually improving, the penetration rate of household appliances is gradually increasing, and the market demand for refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators, air conditioners, and freezers is gradually growing. As an important material for refrigeration equipment, refrigerant has gradually increased market demand. Against this background, my country’s refrigerant market capacity is gradually expanding. In 2022, China’s refrigerant market capacity will be 541 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.32%. As the main raw material for the production of refrigerants, hydrofluoric acid has growing market demand. Coupled with the continuous advancement of hydrofluoric acid production technology in my country, its output has been gradually increased. From 2015 to 2022, my country’s hydrofluoric acid production increased from 1.276 million tons to 1.802 million tons, with an average annual compound growth rate of 5.05%.

Industry analysts said that at present, there are a large number of hydrofluoric acid companies in my country, the industry concentration is relatively low, and the market competition pattern is relatively dispersion. my country’s larger hydrofluoric acid companies mainly include polyfluorocarbons, Juhua Group, Jingrui Chemical, Tianci High-tech, Yuntianhua Co., Ltd., Sanmei Chemical, Xingfa Group, Xingfluoro Zhonglan, Sannong New Materials, Dong Yue Jinfeng, Sinochem Blue Sky, Feiyuan Chemical, etc. Among them, Dongyue Jinfeng has the largest market share, accounting for 4.63%; followed by Feiyuan Chemical, accounting for 3.52%. As my country’s environmental protection requirements gradually become stricter, the structure of hydrofluoric acid production capacity gradually changes, and backward production capacities with high pollution and high consumption are gradually eliminated. Its market concentration is expected to increase in the future.
